AIA Varsity Program

This Work Integrated Learning module is designed for young people in the tertiary institutions. Our internship programs provide you with an opportunity to expand your knowledge and benefit from the invaluable on-the-job experience. Our interns don’t sit around making coffee, they’re making a real impact on the world.

Academic Credit

Many universities in Africa require that students complete an Internship module (Work Integrated Learning) as part of their degree course in order to graduate. We are expertly familiar with Work Integrated Learning techniques. We assist students who go through Africa Internship Academy to meet and exceed these requirements and have an additional edge over their peers.

All qualified applicants are enrolled in our 4-week Work Integrated Learning Program at the Accra Internship House. You will work on challenging and hands-on enterprise and management-related projects to solve real problems during your 4-week immersion, together with AIA’s faculty and enterprise mentors. Interns will cover the following modules during the 4-week WILP and after spend another 4-week with a host company.

Q1. How will I attend this training?

This training will be conducted every day at the academy, which is located at the New Abuse Okai Street, Mataheko. This is a full-time session and therefore we recommend reviewing all our dates to find one which best suits your availability and schedule.

Q2. What are the criteria for participating in this program?

A. Successful applicants for our program must:

  • Be at least 18 years old and not more than 25 years.
  • Be proficient in English.
  • Be currently enrolled in any recognized tertiary institutions
  • Have an interest and passion for interning in Accra and learning about new cultures

B. As part of your online application, you will be asked to provide a copy of your resume/CV. We require that all documents are uploaded in English, and do not typically exceed two pages. The resume/CV is a very important part of your application so we do recommend you take your time to review details carefully for spelling and grammar errors. If you are offered a place onto one of our programs, we will provide you with guidance on how to improve and restructure your CV through our CV Workshop materials.

C. A phone interview is a mandatory component of your application, allowing our team to understand more about your background and previous experience(s). The interview is normally around 20-30 minutes long.
